Summer Employment - Painters

 
8 hours per day-Monday through Friday 7am - 3:30pm
No Holidays          

General Qualifications:
• Must be sixteen (16) years of age or older
• Is consistently at work and on time
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to clean up work area
• Must observe all school district safety and security procedures
 
Painter Qualifications:
• Ability to work in hot, damp environments
• Ability to erect scaffolding or set up ladders
• Ability to work on ladders up to 12 foot in height
• Must spread drop cloths over floor and room equipment
• Ability to roll paint and edge paint with brush
• Must operate electric hand sanders
• May assist other departments when needed
 
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.  The employee is occasionally required to sit.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Employee is required to talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
